Rajgir, it was once the ancient capital of the powerful Kingdom of Maghada. Rajgir, a historic road leads to Gridhakuta or vultures peak where the Buddha preached. Here the first Buddhist Council was held after the Lord's Mahaparinirvana.) Overnight at hotel
Morning visit to Vaishali. Visit the Ashokan Pillar (also known as the Lion Pillar built by Emperor Ashoka. The pillar is made of a single piece of red sandstone and capped by a high bell shaped capital. A life-size figure of a lion adorns the very top of this amazing pillar). Also visit Bawan Pokhar Temple, Vishwa Shanti Stupa, the Coronation Tank and Vaishali Museum. Drive to Kushinagar. Overnight at hotel.
Morning proceed to visit Kushinagar. (The monuments of Kushinagar are situated in three distinct main sites comprising of the Nirvana Temple, the Central Stupa and the surrounding Monasteries.) Later drive to Lumbini and check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Morning breakfast and proceed to visit Lumbini in Nepal. (Lumbini is where the Queen Mahamaya gave birth to Prince Siddhartha who later became the Buddha. About 2000 years ago the Emperor Ashoka set up a commemorative pillar here. The pillar carries the inscription – "Here the Buddha was born". Another shrine preserves an ancient image depicting the nativity of the Lord.) Visit the International Temple. After lunch drive to Sarasvati and check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Morning visit to Sarasvati sacred city for Buddhists. (Buddha himself spent many summers here to deliver important sermons. Here Anathapindika was built in the garden of Prince Jeta for the reception of the Buddha.) Also visit the Ungli Mar Caves. Transfer to Varanasi. Over night at hotel.
Morning after breakfast transfer to the Railway Station for onward destination.
